How to setup Mediacom Email with MS Outlook?

Now, add your incoming and outgoing mail server information in the required fields. If you are a Mediacom customer, which apparently you are, then you need to add ‘mail.mediacombb.net’ for incoming email server and outgoing email server fields. Once you do so, click ‘next’ to proceed.

Type in your username and password followed by selecting ‘finish’. Now, you will be taken back to the ‘internet accounts’ screen. You will have to select ‘properties’ that is given in the right side of internet accounts screen.

You can now go to ‘servers’ tab and tick mark the box that is labelled as ‘my server requires authentication’. After ticking it, select ‘settings’ option followed by entering your email ID and password.

There will be a tab by the name of ‘advanced’, which you will have to click. Enter ‘995’ for incoming mail and ‘465’ for outgoing mail in the server port area. Tick mark both the boxes to enable secure connection.

1. It is important to check the steps that you’ve performed. Any spelling mistake or missing alphabet or number can cause error.

2. You have to be very careful when syncing Mediacom mail from Windows Live Mail or Mac to iPhone or Android. There are some additional instructions given on Mediacom website, so refer that when syncing Mediacom email from one platform to a completely different platform.
