- Check the mail server and its names: For this, you need to go to ‘Email center setup link’. Enter the login credentials in the field and click on ‘Submit’ to move further. - Inspect the port settings: For this, you must log in to the account. Check the ports carefully. Without SSL: If you want to use the account without SSL security, then the port number for this is 143 and you need to use IMAP protocol for this. In case the account is the POP type, the port number will be 110 and same is the case for outgoing servers. Set it to 25, 80 and 3535.
With SSL: If you want to enable the security, then the port number for IMAP protocol is 993 and for POP is 995. The outgoing port for such account is 465.
- An additional check for an account: If you are sending a message from your account, then check the word limit of your composed mail if it is exceeding the limit, then you won’t be able to send it. The daily mail limit must be checked prior to sending a mail. Login to RCN email login now.
Note: One relay is comprised of one email message which is being sent from the SMTP settings. If you are trying to send the same message to more than one person, then the same number of relays will be used.
